Rehearsals for NOW IS THE TIME have started! I am so excited for this show! It is going to tackle so many relevant issues facing Chicago – especially in light of the latest shooting of a 15-year-old girl from King College Prep – who was shot at 2:30 in the afternoon!!! What is going on Chicago?! NOW IS THE TIME – we def need some changes!

AND THE BLESSINGS COME DOWN!!! Yes, I booked it!! I was offered a part in the show I auditioned for on Tuesday. I am so excited and honored to be part of this great show that will have a message for my city! It is a much-needed call to action, from the youth of Chicago, kids like me, to end the violence and intolerance. It is a message close to my heart and I look forward to making a difference with the entire cast and crew! On the Now is the Time Facebook page it says:

I had a fantastic audition for a new show being put together in Chicago which focuses on the violence in my city (Chicago). It looks like an amazing project. I feel very blessed to have even had a chance to audition. I have strong feelings regarding the violence that takes place here and doing my part to stop it. It needs to be safe for ALL in ALL neighborhoods.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! May 2013 be full of blessings for all!!

I have exciting news to already post about – Can You Hear Me Now? – a short film I did in the beginning of December has already scheduled its World Premier Showing (and yes, I know I said I would post pictures from filming, I promise they are coming). It will be at the Prairie State Film Festival, Saturday, July 27, 2013.
