I had the honor on Saturday to introduce the band Kashmir at the Chicago Hot Dog Fest, sponsored by Chicago History Museum!!! If you didn’t make it out Friday or Saturday, it continues today, August 9. Get out there and eat some hot dogs!!

Opening Day yesterday at A Red Orchid Theatre for Our City, Ourselves: Youth Voices for Tolerance – and it was FANTASTIC!! Please get your tickets ASAP. It sells out quickly. A big thank you to all who came and supported, very much appreciated by me and the entire cast!! Rehearsals for NOW IS THE TIME have started! I am so excited for this show! It is going to tackle so many relevant issues facing Chicago – especially in light of the latest shooting of a 15-year-old girl from King College Prep – who was shot at 2:30 in the afternoon!!! What is going on Chicago?! NOW IS THE TIME – we def need some changes!

I had a fantastic audition for a new show being put together in Chicago which focuses on the violence in my city (Chicago). It looks like an amazing project. I feel very blessed to have even had a chance to audition. I have strong feelings regarding the violence that takes place here and doing my part to stop it. It needs to be safe for ALL in ALL neighborhoods.

Looks like Chicago is filming a TV Pilot – called Chicago Fire. Check out the link below to learn more about it. The day they closed the Columbus bridge to film, is the same day my mom, Jen, was an extra on the set. Let’s hope it get’s picked up!! YAY Chicago!!
